Great to see such fighting spirit today.

Up against a billion pound team today, and did a quite remarkable job against them.
Hats off to Scott Parker and the Burnley team.
Putting aside the painfully late pen, that was a magnificent effort against THE top side.
The point would have been welcome, and we deserved it, but fans appreciate that level of endeavour and battling spirit.
If we can hold a team like liverpool at bay for 90 minutes, then we can take vital points from lesser teams in games to come.
Nothing but praise from me for the workrate and determination this aft. well done Clarets.

C'mon, Woodley, grow up a bit and stop posting such rubbish. Don't forget fans of other clubs look at this site and their opinions of us as a supporter group are formed by reading stuff like that.
Be positive and celebrate the fighting spirit - more of that this season and we'll be OK.

To lose both games against utd and Liverpool by penalties in injury time is incredibly unlucky, frustrating, annoying etc but Parker and his team will take a huge amount of confidence that we can compete and we definitely have a chance this season

Wrong! I half expected Oliver to take his shirt off and wave it above his head when he awarded the penalty. He knew he'd get a pat on the head from Slot.

I totally agree. Scott Parker got his game plan exactly right the only slight disagreement with him I had, was I would have left Cullen on and taken Lesley off due to the fact he had been booked. But other than that everything was great. When the team was announced I didn't expect a back 5 but it worked very well. Overall I have enjoyed all 4 games for different reasons. Man Utd we could have got something if we had been a little smarter.

Yesterday, well Sean always said 'never turn your back' His defenders were well known for facing up to the attackers and being strong and determined if Hannibal had stood facing the cross !!!! But well done lads

Totally agree with the OP.

I’m slightly bemused that some people think it wasn’t a stonewall penalty….

Great performance by the whole team and shows we deserve to be competing at the highest level in this league.
We earned the right to be a Premier League club and the boys did us proud yesterday.and have great confidence of a decent season.

In the ground at the time, I absolutely thought that it wasnt but obviously watching it back it definitely was. Im guessing its the people who havent seen it again. I was walking off talking to 2 people who were convinced that VAR hadnt even looked at it because it was taken so quickly.
