That beer garden looks superb. A great way to pack more people in as well.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw it. Especially if there's a massive screen opposite!criminalclaret wrote: ↑Thu Sep 18, 2025 3:55 pmCan you sit up there or is it only for display? Looks class anyway!

Fantastic a real credit to the town albeit I've never been in the Royal Dyche it's a pleasure to walk to Turf with all the bars and the murals.

Both the OP and the Royal Dyche are making a common mistake.... but they're not heading to Kansas, they're heading to Missouri.

Are you sure? Looks like they are heading to Kansas City.Oshkoshclaret wrote: ↑Thu Sep 18, 2025 6:21 pmBoth the OP and the Royal Dyche are making a common mistake.... but they're not heading to Kansas, they're heading to Missouri.
Yes, Kansas City sits on the boundary between the state of Kansas and the state of Missouri. Twentyfive years ago I worked for a US company that was headquartered in Kansas City. I visited a few times. The company was in the power and light business. I've no idea, but it's possible that the company gave it's name to the power and light district.

Re: Royal Dyche heading to Kansas
There's a Kansas City on each side of the border. If someone says "I'm going to Kansas City" that would be taken to mean Kansas City, Missouri. If you were going to Kansas City, Kansas you would put the "Kansas" qualifier on it.Paul Waine wrote: ↑Thu Sep 18, 2025 6:37 pmAre you sure? Looks like they are heading to Kansas City.

Kansas City, Missouri is much larger and contains the city center. It's where the Royal Dyche pop up will be.
There's a very prominent building in downtown KC that would not go down well in the UK...
