Simply the best
Simply the best
This has to be the best song any Burnley team has ever walked out to.
Does anyone know the reason why it was ever changed?

My memory isnt what it was, but wasn't it because when Waddle came in he demanded we use Van Halen's 'Jump'?
I still cant listen to that song.

Chris eubank & Tina turner alliance CR agreements prohibited. When Royalties & Copyright agreements come into play you can't broadcast anything willy nilly.

That's true about Waddle and Jump, but i think we ditched Tina long before then. Didn't we walk out to Tom Hark in between, or was that after Jump?dougcollins wrote: ↑Thu Sep 25, 2025 9:11 pmMy memory isnt what it was, but wasn't it because when Waddle came in he demanded we use Van Halen's 'Jump'?

Tom Hark as a walk out was before Waddle and then came back as goal music in the 2000sTheFamilyCat wrote: ↑Thu Sep 25, 2025 9:39 pmThat's true about Waddle and Jump, but i think we ditched Tina long before then. Didn't we walk out to Tom Hark in between, or was that after Jump?
STB and TH were at similar times and I’m sure it varied from one to another each game at one point.

Used to like the build up of Requiem for a Dream in the Coyle promotion season.

I thought Tom Hark was our goal celebration music. The Wild Rover violinist is a bit slow.

Re: Simply the best
It used to be Tina turner followed by van halen
Then we used carmina burana followed by let me entertain you circa 2000
Tom hark used to be played in 2002 when we won a game but then later became our goal music for a long while.

Tom Hark was the walk out tune in 1991/92, way before anyone had even considered goal music. A lot of teams used it after us, Sheffield Utd, for example. Trailblazers.

If you're interested in the film, there's a documentary called Sad Hill Unearthed which is about a team of fans who unearth the cemetery used in the film. Well worth a watch on Netflix if it's still available.
