North East trip for Clarets in semi-final
Having finally received news last week that we had qualified for the semi-finals of the Final Third Development (Central) League Cup, we can now reveal that we face a journey to the North East of the country in our bid to win a place in the final.
Since last week, Notts County have clinched their place in the last four along with us and Stoke and they’ve been given an away tie against Stoke. That leaves us to face either Hartlepool or Middlesbrough in the other semi-final and we’ve been given an away tie.
Hartlepool have now played all their games and have a three point lead over Middlesbrough who have one game remaining. That game is against bottom of the group Gateshead and any kind of win would see Boro go through.
There are no dates as yet for either game.
