Ntumba joins League Two leaders as window closes
The transfer window has closed, and I’ll take a look at what’s happened at Burnley once all the dust has settled, but there is one last deal to report and that is striker Ntumba Massanka moving on loan to Morecambe until 3rd January.
As we all waited for the expected signing of Kamil Grosicki from Rennes, the 19-year old Massanka was making a move of his own and joining a League Two side for the second time.
He went to York last season but that proved to be an unsuccessful time for him with Burnley recalling him but he’s now joining Morecambe, the team at the top of the league, where he’ll see some familiar faces.
Alex Whitmore is also there on loan while two team mates from last season’s development squad, left-back Luke Conlan and goalkeeper Dan Nizic, are also with the Shrimps.
Morecambe boss Jim Bentley said: “Ntumba is a promising young striker who we have had some good reports about. He will gain valuable experience with us and will be a good addition to our squad.”
This should conclude the transfer business for us with Massanka becoming the fifth player to go out on loan along with Lukas Jutkiewicz, Tom Anderson, Danny Lafferty and Fredrik Ulvestad.
