Nick Pope has missed out on the Euros because of needing cartilage surgery, which he underwent successfully yesterday, but we do have one goalkeeper called up for international duty with Bailey Peacock-Farrell named in the Northern Ireland squad for two friendly internationals.

Peacock-Farrell, who qualifies for Northern Ireland due to his paternal grandfather, has won 21 caps since making his debut in a friendly against Panama in May 2018 when he came on as a half time substitute for Motherwell’s Trevor Carson.

He’s had a mixed season, the positive being a Premier League debut but in four games in the top flight he has conceded 14 goals although it’s unfortunate for any Burnley goalkeeper to debut in a game against Manchester City at the Etihad.

The Northern Ireland squad are training in Austria and will play a behind closed doors friendly there against Malta this Sunday before travelling to Dnipro where they will face Ukraine in the Dnipro Arena on Thursday, 3rd June.
