Nick Pope has, as expected, been named in the England squad for the Nations League games against Iceland and Denmark next month but there is no place in the squad for James Tarkowski.

England first game will be against Iceland at Laugardalsvöllur in Reyjjavik on Saturday, 5th September and then travel to face Denmark at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen on the following Tuesday.

Pope, who was in outstanding form for the Clarets last season, will be hoping to add to the two caps he’s previously won.

Alongside Pope will be three former Clarets with Kieran Trippier, Michael Keane and Danny Ings all called up.
