Part of Burnley’s pre-season schedule will see us play games in Belgium and most likely in Portugal, these coming after behind closed doors games against teams from the Championship and League One.

We will travel to Belgium on 22nd July to face KRC Genk who ended last season at the top of the Belgian League, ahead of Union Saint-Gilloise on goal difference with both teams having won the same number of games which is the higher criteria. The top four then go into a Championship play-off round where they play each other twice again. They ultimately ended the season in second place behind champions Royal Antwerp.

Genk will play in the Champions League qualifiers and three days after our game there will play the first leg of a tie against Servette in Switzerland.

The game against Genk will be played t their Cegeka Arena and will be open to supporters.

After the Genk game, the squad will fly to Lisbon for a training camp and will play a game before flying home.

EDIT: Kick off time has now been confirmed as 6:30 p.m. (CET) and admission prices set at €10 adults and €5 concessions.
