Second defeat of the week for under-23s
Our under-23s have followed up Monday’s 1-0 defeat against Sheffield Wednesday with another loss by the same score this afternoon at Barnsley.
The only goal of the game came in just the 10th minute through Romal Palmer who headed home a Jordan Barnett cross.
The teams were;
Barnsley: Henry Kendrick, Jordan Helliwell, Jordan Barnett, Sam Fielding, Jasper Moon, Elvis Otim, Louis Walsh, Keaton Ward, Kieran Feeney, Romal Palmer, Amir Berkovits. Subs: Tommy Willard, Cameron Simpson, Harry Gagen, Bradley Binns, Edward Obgerbor-Onaiwu.
Burnley: Anders Lindegaard, Jordan Cropper, Bobby Thomas, Anthony Glennon, Matty Rain, Tunde Bayode, Josh Benson, Mark Howarth, Marley Blair, Tinashe Chakwana, Dan Agyei (Rob Harker). Subs not used: Aidan Stone, Ed Cook, Oscar Woods, Ethan Kershaw.
