Sean Dyche was back at Gawthorpe this morning as the players returned for pre-season and it is the ninth year in which he will lead us into a new season with the squad having been prepared over the next five weeks including the much ‘loved’ gaffer’s day.

He’s already brought Stoke defender Nathan Collins in this summer and will be looking to make further additions before the transfer window closes at the end of next month, but what of the players who have been Dyche signings over those almost nine years?

Sean was 50 last week so we took the opportunity to celebrate that milestone by asking of you what you thought had been the most memorable game in his time at Burnley and your response was to select the 2-1 win at Blackburn in 2014.

Now we want to ask who you think has been his best signing. It doesn’t have to be a big money signing nor does it have to be a lesser priced player, but the player who, overall, you think has proved to be the best for us.

We are asking via a vote that is now underway and will run until the end of Monday next week. We know how difficult it will be to select just one of the sixteen players who were nominated from the message board so on this occasion we are allowing you three votes.

The sixteen players selected have been listed in chronological order from Dyche’s first signing Tom Heaton through to Chris Wood who, despite arriving in August 2017, is the most recent signing to make the list.

And don’t forget, you can vote for up to three players.
