Seven young players sign new deals
Burnley have confirmed that seven of our young players have signed their first professional deals at Turf Moor with all of them part of Steve Stone’s under-23 squad.
The seven are goalkeepers Harry Allen and Lewis Thomas, defenders Calen Gallagher-Allison and Owen Dodgson, wide player Ne-Jai Tucker and forwards Max Thompson and Sam Unwin.
Allen, Thomas and Tucker were previously on third year scholarships while Thompson and Unwin have just come to the end of their scholarships, Thompson having joined from Everton during the 2019/20 season soon after Unwin arrived from Bury. Gallagher-Allison and Dodgson were both recruits from Manchester United during the recently ended season.
All seven returned to training today and are expected to be in the under-23 squad that travels to a training camp at Stirling University next week as part of their preparations for the new season.
Up the Clarets wishes all of them the very best.
