Having played Colne and Fleetwood Town last Saturday, the under-23s travel to Stalybridge Celtic tonight while the youth team are playing at Harrogate Town.

Danny Cadamarteri’s youth team are up against Harrogate Town’s under-19 team at the CNG Stadium in Harrogate. Kick off is 7:30 p.m. and for any Clarets in the area the admission charge is just £2.

stalybridge 1000x500Meanwhile the under-23s make the shorter journey to Bower Fold, Stalybridge, the first time a Burnley team have played there since a reserve team game against Oldham Athletic in the 2010/11 season. We won 6-0 that night. Wes Fletcher scored twice with the other goals netted by Brian Easton, David Edgar, Jay Rodriguez and Kevin McDonald.

Tonight it’s a friendly against the home club. The Burnley team will, as was the case at Colne, be missing a few players. The four outfield players who went to Cork were involved with the first team again yesterday as were a number of other players so it might be that some of the youth team will be involved.

Michael Duff is still working with the first team, covering for Tony Loughlan, while Andy Farrell is also absent which leaves Nicky Law and Jon Pepper in charge again.

There has been some debate over kick off time tonight with the two clubs, until this morning, publishing different times. It has now been confirmed as a 7:45 p.m. kick off.

Admission at Bower Fold is £7 adults, £4 concessions and £1 unde-16s if accompanied by an adult.
