Supporters Groups make foodbank donation
With recent postponements, the member groups of Burnley FC Supporters Groups have been unable to collect much needed food to support the foodbank at Burnley Community Kitchen.
There will be no collection this week ahead of the Huddersfield cup tie due to the early kick off but expect us back for the Leicester game on Saturday, 15th January.
We appreciate just how many people require the support of the foodbank and, at the suggestion of West Yorkshire Clarets, who were on duty ahead of the postponed Spurs game, six of our member groups have been able to donate £50 each to allow us to make a £300 donation to help the work being done at the foodbank.
This adds to previous donations during the pandemic from the group as a whole and from New Zealand Clarets who made a donation following their last successful meeting.
We are grateful to our member groups who were able to support this donation and pleased we are able to help in this way. We now look forward to receiving your tin for the bin on the day of the Leicester game.
