1516 burnley james tarkoskwi 01 630x420Stephen Ward returned to the bench at Swansea and started last week against Southampton whilst Chris Wood took his place on the bench and now, for the Everton game this Saturday, they are joined by fit again James Tarkowski.

Sean Dyche said: “It was important to get minutes into players this week. It’s speeding up, we’re getting bodies in a bit quicker. They’re in the thinking for the weekend, they’re fit enough to be considered.”

There’s been much debate about the goalkeeping situation too, but Nick Pope will rightly continue as Tom Heaton works his way to fitness. Dyche said on that: “Tom is old enough and wise enough to know what he needs. He’ll get us now when he’s ready. He’s coming back towards the thinking and he knows the form of Popey. He’s very, very close.”
