Last season’s best away performance came at Brighton’s Amex Stadiim

Three down one to go – we have our player of the year, goal of the season and est home performance of the season – now it’s time to choose our best away performance of the brilliant 2022/23 season.

As was the case with the best home performance vote, just the wins have been included in this final vote for the 2022/23 season. There are fifteen of them in all, with thirteen of them in the league and two more in the cups, one in each at Shrewsbury and Bournemouth.

Of the thirteen away wins, eight of them were one goal victories at Huddersfield, Coventry, Stoke, Luton, Blackburn (all 1-0), Swansea, Middlesbrough and Bristol City (2-1). There was just one victory by two goals; that was the sensational recovery at Sunderland to come from 2-0 down at half time to win 4-2.

Both QPR, in the first post World Cup game and Norwich were won 3-0 and the biggest victory of all in the league was the 5-1 win at Wigan, our second away win of the season.

We can add to that the 1-0 League Cup win at Shrewsbury and the 4-2 FA Cup victory at Premier League Bournemouth which completes the set of thirteen.

The vote is now underway and will run until the end of Thursday. It can be found below and, if viewing the desktop version of the site, on every page below the London Clarets advert and above the search bar.
