Two forwards needed to complete the team

Nine of the eleven players have been selected for our team of the last ten years and now it is time to choose two forwards from a selection of 13 players.

Those 13 start with four players who featured in our first ever Premier League season in 2009/10. Two of them, Robbie Blake (20 league starts from the 2009/10 – 2 goals) and Martin Paterson (61 – 17) were part of the promotion team and they were joined by new record signing Steven Fletcher (35 – 8) and loan signing David Nugent (20 – 6).

The next season saw the introduction of Chris Iwelumo (29 – 11) while Jay Rodriguez (73 – 29), who hadn’t played in the previous season, won a regular place in the team and Charlie Austin (69 – 41) signed for us in the January transfer window.

Danny Ings (99 – 38) arrived in the August window in 2011 while Sam Vokes (137 – 58) had a spell on loan in the 2011/12 season before signing permanently during the summer of 2012.

Ashley Barnes (107 – 35) is the next on the list. He was the first player Sean Dyche paid a fee for when he came in from Brighton in January 2014 and to complete the list are Lukas Jutkiewicz (13 – 0), Andre Gray (67 – 32), signed from Brentford in August 2015, and Chris Wood (49 – 20) who came in from Leeds two years later.
