Under-21s in action tomorrow against Fleetwood
The under-21s play Fleetwood this weekend at home in the Professional Development League with the game having been moved to the training ground at Gawthorpe.
We go into the game in third place in the north group table, three places but just one point ahead of our opponents who have won three and lost three of their games in what is their first ever season at this level.
We’ve won three of our last four league games but it has been the reverse for Fleetwood. They kicked off with a 4-1 home win against Cardiff in their first game and followed it up with a 3-1 win at Watford and a 1-0 home victory against Ipswich.
Those games were all played in August but September has not been quite so kind to them. They were beaten 2-0 at QPR and then suffered a 6-0 defeat at home against league leaders Sheffield United. Last Tuesday they were involved in a high scoring game but were beaten 6-4 at home by Crewe.
The game is being played tomorrow with kick off at 11 a.m.
