Under-23s beat Palace
The under-23s have this afternoon beaten Crystal Palace 2-1 in the Professional Development League with goals from Dan Agyei and Tunde Bayode.
Unfortunately, it was moved behind closed doors at short notice which meant we were unable to report fully on the game.
We opened the scoring midway through the first half when Agyei scored from close range after Mace Goodridge had played a ball into the box and it was 2-0 with a quarter of an hour to go when Bayode headed home. Palace quickly pulled one back with a goal from Levi Lumeka but Burnley held on for a second win of the season.
We lined up: Adam Legzdins, James Clarke, Teddy Perkins, Ed Cook, Ali Koiki, Dwight McNeil (Anthony Glennon 60), Mace Goodridge, Christian N’Guessan, Tunde Bayode, Dan Agyei (Ntumba Massanka 60), Matěj Vydra (Rob Harker 60).
