1718 burnley christian nguessan 00 500x500Burnley’s under-23s were in front as early as the second minute this afternoon and went further ahead just past the half hour. But it all went wrong in the second half with Coventry coming back to win 4-2.

Matej Vydra got his second outing but there was no place again for Robbie Brady who, for the second successive week, had been pencilled in for a game. It was Nahki Wells who opened the scoring on just two minutes with Christian N’Guessan (pictured) adding the second.

Coventry pulled one back early in the second half through Reece Ford before Jonson Clarke-Harris levelled things on 54 minutes.

It all went Coventry’s way in the final ten minutes with two goals from Reise Allassani, leaving the Clarets on the wrong end of a 4-2 result.

The teams were;

Coventry: Corey Addai (GK), Morgan Williams, Reece Ford, Chris Camwell, Sam McCallum (Luke Green 83), Jak Hickman, Josh Eccles, Zain Westbrooke, Jodi Jones (C) (Billy  Stedman ht), Reise Allassani ( Johnny Ngandu 90), Jonson Clarke-Harris. Subs not used: Tom Bilson, Dexter Walters.
