grounds curzon 2Burnley’s under-23 team will be playing in the Professional Development League this season. It’s the first time we’ve played in a league at this level since the 2011/12 season after which we opted to pull out of the Central League and the much awaited fixtures have been released today.

It’s just been announced that some of the home games will be played at Tameside Stadium, the home of Curzon Ashton FC who play in the National League North while others will be played at Turf Moor.

We actually open up the season with a trip to Crystal Palace on Monday 14th August with the first home game against Ipswich on 21st August. That one, like the second home game against Cardiff is scheduled for Turf Moor but could switch to Curzon Ashton depending on the League Cup draws, i.e. home ties would necessitate a move of the under-23 fixture.

The address is: Tameside Stadium, Richmond Street, Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, OL7 9HG.

Meanwhile, the under-18s will play in the Under18 Professional Development League and this kicks off with a home game against Watford on Saturday 12th August.

In both leagues, the teams are split north and south. We will play all of the teams in the north both home and away with one game each against the south teams, either home or away.

Both the Under-23 and Under-18 fixtures can be found within U23/U18 Stats on the top menu. Kick off times and venues are shown on the under-23 fixtures while all under-18 fixtures will kick off at 11 a.m. unless otherwise shown.
