limb mcneilThe Clarets under-23 team have recorded a fifth successive pre-season win tonight in beating Wisbech by two goals to one.

The game was arranged as part of the deal that saw Harry Limb (pictured left) join Burnley from the United Counties League Premier earlier this year and so it was appropriate that he scored tonight and on his 18th birthday too.

The second goal was scored by Dwight McNeil (pictured right), one of the members of the youth team squad who have travelled while goalkeeper Connor King saved a penalty.

The under-23s now have two remaining pre-season games against fellow academy sides from Norwich and Derby before moving into the Professional Development League.

The Burnley team was: Connor King, Luke Hendrie, Harry Flowers, Bobby Thomas, Ali Koiki, Tristan Jumeau, Rahis Nabi, Jamie Thomas, Robbie Leitch, Tommy Wood, Harry Limb. Subs: Adam Bruce, Scott Wilson, Mark Howarth, Christian N’Guessan, Dwight McNeil, Nashé Chakwana, Khius Metz.
