The Premier League have launched the 2022/23 Fantasy Premier League and the Up the Clarets League is again up and running.

For a third successive season we will be raising money towards the foodbank at Burnley Community Kitchen, In the last two seasons, our fundraising has already generated £25,000 which has been gratefully received at what is a difficult time for so many people.

Nothing has changed with our game. Again we will be charging £10 per team (£10.60 if paying through Paypal to cover their costs). £5 of your entry will automatically be added to the prize fund with the remainder being donated to the charity.

Again, we are using the official Premier League game so all you have to do now is join the game, select your squad within the £100 million budget. You will be able to make as many changes as you like up to the cut off date and time for the first week of fixtures; that comes at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, 5th August, ahead of the opening fixture that night between Crystal Palace and Arsenal at Selhurst Park.

This season, for the first time since 2015/16 season, there will be no Burnley players available but you could look at some of the ex-Clarets who will be in the league next season. That includes Danny Ings at Aston Villa and he’s valued at £7 million. Former Burnley defenders Michael Keane and James Tarkowski at Everton will both cost you £4.5 million and at Newcastle you will pay £5 million for goalkeeper Nick Pope or right-back Kieran Trippier, striker Chris Wood will cost you £6 million.
