fantasy premier league 2016-17The Premier League has launched its official 2016/17 Fantasy Premier League game for the forthcoming season and the first ever Up the Clarets League has been set up for our own fantasy game.

Once more, as we’ve done elsewhere in previous seasons, we will be running our own league with prizes for finishing in the top three places and also for the winning manager of each month.

The entry charge, as in previous years, will be £10 per team (£10.60 to cover costs if using credit/debit card or Paypal). For each entry received, £5 will be added to the prize fund with the remaining £5 (approximately) going into the Up the Clarets Youth Foundation.

As has always been the case, we are playing the official game. One blip apart, at the start of the 2011/12 season, it has served us well. It’s easy to play as you decide on the best players for your squad within the £100 million budget; which transfers to make, when you use your wildcards and the special options that were introduced last season. This season it will be even easier to play with free iOS, Android and Windows mobile apps available.

There is, once more, the added incentive of being able to include Burnley players in your squad. Which Clarets will be the best buys? It was very much Graham Alexander in the 2009/10 season with Kieran Trippier and Tom Heaton picking up the most points two seasons ago. Right now our highest valued players are Andre Gray at £6.5 million and Sam Vokes at £6 million.

It’s easy to join. All you have to do is set up your squad and send us your entry fee. On receipt you will receive the code to join the Up the Clarets League.

You do not need to have registered to post on the message board to enter the game, it is open to all, but a full list of entrants will be displayed on the Bee Hole End board.
