We get to take the learning from this first period of games
Burnley travel to face Brentford where we will come up against their manager Thomas Frank for a third time having played them twice in the Premier League during the 2021/22 season.
Since they last played, Frank has completed five years as Brentford boss having taken over from Dean Smith who left them for Aston Villa in October 2018.
He added: “Of course, we would love to win tomorrow in front of our fans. We need a top performance from us, and a top performance from our fans. We need to do it together, to push on. The players need to give something to the fans, and they will give it back. Hopefully it can be a synergy.”
“We’ve mentioned Forest away, which was a tough game, and Luton away, which is a tough away game. It’s important to be good in those games, but in the end you want to pick up points against the top teams as well. In those games there have been moments that have cost us and that’s where we have to grow to.
“I’ve always said this about the team, I do think there is a balance between being able to have results now, but also making sure that in the future we’re able to get the results against the big teams as well.”Follow UpTheClarets:
