West Yorkshire Clarets on the beer in Tod
It’s September and that means the West Yorkshire Clarets meeting this month will be held in Todmorden, more accurately at Todmorden Cricket Club.
It’s the Todmorden Beer Festival this week and, as in previous years, the supporters group will again be sponsoring a barrel and will be in attendance tomorrow evening, Thursday 13th September, from around 7 p.m. at the venue that is the closest to Turf Moor.
It’s the first night of the ever popular festival and there are usually around thirty cask ales to choose from and a number of farmhouse ciders. If you are hungry, the pie and black peas is always recommended.
Unless you are a Camra member, there is a small entrance charge at the beer festival so on this occasion there will be no subs to pay for the meeting.
Todmorden Cricket Club is on Burnley Road. Travelling in from Burnley you will find it on the right hand side, just after the park, before reaching the town centre. If arriving at the railway station, it is just a few minutes walk towards Burnley.
