The updates continue on Up the Clarets and today sees the return of an old favourite, brought up to date to the end of last season and ready for all the changes that will come in August and beyond.

It’s the Played for Both Clubs feature that can be found within Players on the top menu of the site. Once in the feature, it is split into eleven alphabetical sections where clubs are listed one by one showing all the players who have played for those clubs AND Burnley in post war football.

Only those who have played are included so you won’t find Charlie Taylor or Jonathan Walters there yet nor players such as George Porter who did play first team football for other clubs but didn’t play for Burnley.

Neither will you see Andre Gray listed under Luton, simply because Luton were a non-league club throughout his stay at Kenilworth Road.

Players only need to have played a competitive game, it does not need to be a league fixture which means, for example, Robbie Brady is listed under Manchester United having made one substitute appearance for them in the League Cup.

The feature will now be updated as and when any players make their debuts for us (that’s when Taylor and Walters will be included) or when any former Burnley players make debuts for new clubs.
