1516 burnley brandon wilson 00 630x420Kevin Long went out yesterday morning but one more Burnley player left the club in a loan deal yesterday although it was deep into the evening before we revealed that Brandon Wilson would be joining National League North side Stockport County for the rest of the season.

Stockport announced the signing at around 8 p.m. but it was another hour and a half before it was confirmed by Burnley. It’s a signing which takes the number of players out on loan to a total of eleven just now.

Botswana born Aussie Wilson is in his first year as a professional at Burnley having completed a two year scholarship with the youth team in the two previous seasons. He was involved in the AFC Under-19 Championships last year , held in Laos, and has since represented Australia at under-20 level.

He’s joined Stockport on a youth loan until the end of the season, one of four players their manager Jim Gannon signed yesterday. Wilson will be eligible for their Easter games against North Ferriby and AFC Fylde.
