Win lifts under-23s off the bottom
A 2-1 win against Fulham this afternoon at Leyland has taken the under-23s off the bottom of Premier League 2 Division 2, one point above the team we have beaten this afternoon.
All the goals came in the first half. Max Thompson gave us the lead on 19 minutes with that lead doubled by Joel Mumbongo on 27 minutes. Four minutes later Jean-Pierre Tiehi pulled one back for Fulham.
But it ended at 2-1 with the Clarets collecting a second win of the season.
The teams were;
Burnley: Lukas Jensen, Richard Nartey, Bobby Thomas, Anthony Glennon, Matty Rain (Owen Dodgson 64), Ne-Jai Tucker, Josh Benson, Anthony Gomez Mancini, Lewis Richardson, Joel Mumbongo (Arman Taranis 64), Max Thompson. Subs not used: Marc Richter, Marcel Elva-Fountaine, Connor Barrett.
Fulham: George Wickens, Luca Murphy, Ziyad Larkeche, Connor McAvoy, Jayden Mundle-Smith, Jonathan Page, Jayden Harris, Ryan de Havilland, Jean-Pierre Tiehi, Fabio Carvalho, Sonny Hilton. Subs not used: Julian Schwarzer, Sylvester Jasper, Terry Ablade, Jordan Aina, Les Duru.
