Youths are at Palace tomorrow
Following two defeats against Millwall and Bristol City to kick off the season, our under-18s finally got things moving last week with a 2-1 win against Cardiff City at Gawthorpe with the goals coming from the two forwards Mitch George and Joe McGlynn.
We are back on the road for tomorrow morning’s game against Crystal Palace where we will face a team currently unbeaten this season and still to concede a goal. They won their opening game 4-0 at Colchester and have subsequently drawn two games 0-0, at home against Sheffield United and, last week at Nottingham Forest.
Our two previous games against Palace in the U18 Professional Development League have both ended in draws. It was 1-1 at home two seasons ago with Tristan Jumeau scoring our goal while last season we drew 2-2 at Palace when Rhys Fenlon and Cricky Conn-Clarke (pictured) were on target for the Clarets.
Kick off tomorrow is 11 a.m. but, at the time of writing, neither club had confirmed a venue. Palace, however, made their first home game of the season a strictly behind closed doors fixture with parents only admitted.
