Following two defeats against Millwall and Bristol City to kick off the season, our under-18s finally got things moving last week with a 2-1 win against Cardiff City at Gawthorpe with the goals coming from the two forwards Mitch George and Joe McGlynn.

1920 burnley cricky conn-clarke 00 500x500We are back on the road for tomorrow morning’s game against Crystal Palace where we will face a team currently unbeaten this season and still to concede a goal. They won their opening game 4-0 at Colchester and have subsequently drawn two games 0-0, at home against Sheffield United and, last week at Nottingham Forest.

Our two previous games against Palace in the U18 Professional Development League have both ended in draws. It was 1-1 at home two seasons ago with Tristan Jumeau scoring our goal while last season we drew 2-2 at Palace when Rhys Fenlon and Cricky Conn-Clarke (pictured) were on target for the Clarets.

Kick off tomorrow is 11 a.m. but, at the time of writing, neither club had confirmed a venue. Palace, however, made their first home game of the season a strictly behind closed doors fixture with parents only admitted.
