The under-18s went into this morning’s U18 Premier League game against West Ham at Leyland in first place in Group G but a 3-0 defeat has seen us slip to third place and out of the competition.

A win against Everton and a draw at Arsenal ultimately counted for nothing as a draw between those two saw Arsenal top the group with five points and Everton go ahead of us on goal difference.

West Ham were in front as early as the 14th minute with a goal scored by Divin Mubama and they added to that just before the half hour through Gideon Kodua. There was to be no comeback from Burnley and West Ham added a third when Kodua got his second close to the end.

The Burnley team was: Charlie Casper, Jacson Coppack, Jack Leckie, Dan Sassi, Dane McCullough, Sean Etaluku, Joe Bauress, Will Hugill, Kade Ratchford, Tremaine Eastmond, George Walters. Subs not used: Vilar Robinson, Nathan James, Trevon Bryan, Ruairi Behan, Vaughan.
