Don't QPR have a transfer embargo now. And they are also skint. So no chance to recoup the money we paid from them directly, but good to have him in the shop window.

Fair enough. He's got to consider his own present and future. That said, it's a long way from the player who said he was determined to fight for his place in the first team just a few months ago.

Hope it works out for him. Wasnt his fault it didnt work out here. Never spat his dummy out, always got his head down and got on with it. Saw us training a couple of times too and he always looked to be involved and hardworking (as they all do).

"It’s about staying focused and keep putting in seven out of ten performances each game". Shooting for the stars there, what an odd thing to say.

He might be comparing them with UTC player ratings.boatshed bill wrote:7/10 ? Not enough, young man!

Bit early to talk about a permanent move after 3 weeks on loan.

11 players all giving 7/10 is all most managers ask for.
Re: ARTICLE: Wells wouldn’t say no to QPR move
I wouldn't sell him yet. He'll increase in value and come back here a better player.

Re: ARTICLE: Wells wouldn’t say no to QPR move
I was heading home from our game at Arsenal. Another football fan was on the train in a Chelsea shirt. She asked me if Nakhi had got on at Arsenal and how had he done. She said he was her cousin and Nakhi was frustrated he hadn't got more game time with Clarets. All footballers want is game time, naturally. If he can do that at QPR and if he plays well then good for him. It might have been different last season if we had been struggling and/or other forwards had picked up injuries/lost form.

Re: ARTICLE: Wells wouldn’t say no to QPR move
Read a report after the midweek game saying it was a nakhi super show. Also blistering pace was mentioned in the write up. Lucky we have several options with pace that can change a game or give us a different option when needed....oh wait
Re: ARTICLE: Wells wouldn’t say no to QPR move
Considering how predictable and lackustre our attacks are it seems strange to let him go.

Sounds impressive I agree but there again they are talking about a division below us so comparisons are not judging like for like.

Re: ARTICLE: Wells wouldn’t say no to QPR move
Never really getting game time in the PL means he’ll never be at PL level. He looked poor in the pre-season friendlies I thought.
That being said I would have liked to have him as an option. Maybe competitive game time will give him that? Is he there all season and do we have a call back option?

should've given him a call at half-time last Sunday!Claretforever wrote:Never really getting game time in the PL means he’ll never be at PL level. He looked poor in the pre-season friendlies I thought.

Cleveleys - can't find a report which says " it was a Nakhi super show. Also blistering pace was mentioned in the write up."
"Think you are confusing him with Ebere Eze. It appears he had a decent first half and faded in the second so was substituted. Mclaren saying not fit enough to play 90 mins.
Have you got a link or source?
