A remarkable rise in Clarets fortunes following the end of the war!
...Cliff Brittons contribution to Burnley should not be underestimated!

Britton certainly started the turn in the right direction, two superb seasons under his management.

Two superb seasons and some extremely good signings...Brown, Attwell, Adamson and Cummings - not a bad defence there!ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 2:52 pmBrilliant story

When you hear of past notable managers, Britton’s name is rarely mentioned. Maybe because it was only two years he was with us in terms of league football but what an outstanding two years it was.Suratclaret wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2020 7:55 amTwo superb seasons and some extremely good signings...Brown, Attwell, Adamson and Cummings - not a bad defence there!

Another interesting article Tony.
Cliff Britton was certainly more successful than any Managers before him and not many after him.
Also at least he did not pass away while at the club in a train related death.

It makes you wonder what would have happened if Britton had stayed for as long as Dyche has.
