Anass credited with Huddersfield goal
EFL have confirmed Zaroury and not Barnes scored on Saturday
Re: Anass credited with Huddersfield goal
I don't understand why Barnes was ever credited with it, not that he was particularly claiming it. Why was anyone guessing that he got a touch when there was no video evidence to support it? Feel aggrieved for those who had Anass as first goalscorer.

Kompany: I don’t think Pele would have had to nick that goal off Anass Zaroury

As long as it was a goal for us I don’t care and I suspect neither will the 2 players

Re: Anass credited with Huddersfield goal
From where I sit in the LS upper it looked like Barnes' goal.
The stadium announcer said Zaroury......we were a bit surprised.
Having seen it on TV Barnes cleverly let the ball run Pele-esque. When he was celebrating the goal, he clearly pointed to Zaroury and told him it was is.

Re: Anass credited with Huddersfield goal
William hill paid out on Barnes 1st scorer…
Re: Anass credited with Huddersfield goal
Everyone paid out on Barnes
On 365 the boosted bet funnily enough was adnan to score from outside box at 12 to 1
See how that does the bookies

Re: Anass credited with Huddersfield goal
All corrected on the site to credit Zaroury with the goal. It means he now loses the assist which, having watched the goal again, goes to Jordan Beyer.

It was obvious. The little deflection was off the keepers shoulder.
The stadium announcer said Anass straight away.

Re: Anass credited with Huddersfield goal
I don't think it's obvious at all. I've watched it time and time again and can't tell whether Barnes gets a touch or not. I don't think the keeper gets near it. Regarding the announcer, he's at the other end and wouldn't have had a clue who'd scored.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Mon Feb 27, 2023 10:34 pmIt was obvious. It also means that we lose about 0.6 on expected goals!

Barnes immediately indicated it was Anas’s goal

It clearly comes off the keeper's arm if you watch the replay from behind the goal.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Feb 27, 2023 10:38 pmI don't think it's obvious at all.
