And just realised that we've played them on this date before - eight years ago when a certain Scott Arfield scored for us

A pre-planned sub on his return from injury or has he gone off with an injury?

I hadn't seen your post but I've just done some googling and it's the only name I could come up with. BUT - no news of him having signed for us and we never name a trialist, which has left me confused.

Living our dreams. Cannot tell you how many times I imagined scoring for Burnley against that lot when I was younger. Okay okay... and maybe every so often nowadays too!

Didn't some Scottish team actually have a striker named A. Triallist? Seen to recall Jeff Stelling making a joke about it every time his name came up on the videoprinter.

Teams in the lower Scottish leagues often played a number of trialists and they were always listed as A Trialist, B Trialist, C Trialist etc.

If you include this level then March 2021 - if you include under-18s too then November 2022

At first team level when was the last time? Was it Rhodes when we beat them 2-1 in 2014?

It was - since then we've beaten them 1-0 three times and 3-0 once in the league and 2-0 in the League Cup. So at first team level, since Rhodes scored their goal in 2014, we've scored ten goals against them Shackell, Ings, Arfield, Gray, Cork, Brady, Barnes, Zaroury, Barnes, Benson.

Yep. Then he was so happy with the result, he stayed on the pitch past the evening to the end of the light.

The groundsman wasn't happy.
