A rough generalisation. (and going back when the old traditions were stronger ) think the County Cup saw all the none league clubs enter, and just about all the league sides sent their A/B sides.
The Senior Cup saw the bigger more prominent non league sides and most of the league sides field their reserve sides.
That's the take as I understood it.
Seemed that way here in Derbyshire. And going back to the days when decent daily papers always carried these sort of results.

I remember watching LSC games in the sixties etc but don’t recall the LCC. Thought LCC might have been a newer comp aimed at younger players but then read it’s open to all ages
