From the academy twitter feed it seems like quite a lot of the Barrow squad was first team players. Lillis in goal, Robbie Gotts (who has started all 11 league games since joining), Offrande Zanzala (11 starts this season), Josh Kay (9 starts this season) all mentioned.

Dont understand the Burnley policy re goalkeepers, can understand why no Pope or Hennessy but as third choice keeper wouldnt Norris have benefitted from a proper competetive match between the sticks? No wonder he ( and others in the past) have looked rusty when called upon

In my opinion it's been abject for as long as I can remember.

I had - naively - hoped things would be better under this new regime.

I have no idea how much knowledge of football Mr Pace has but he must surely understand the link between the youth system and the first team.

There are some fans who aren't interested in our youth teams, as is the case for fans of other clubs, but many are and I think many of our fans are keen to know about our young lads.

It's a major failing on the part of the club. In my humble opinion.
