Having watched us as long as claret Tony I’m in heaven at the moment. I would say since the restart and city aside, we are playing the best football I’ve seen since 72/73

Some games just almost leave you lost for words. I’d not even had time to calm down yesterday which I would usually do on the way home. I was trying to update the league table, fixture page and other stats pages on the site and was literally shaking.

Given how good they are, and to go behind, that was something very special yesterday.

I know I’m greedy but such a shame JBG didn’t bury that late chance.
Klopp’s head might have exploded then.

That was the first time this season they had dropped points after going in front.

Liverpool looked physically drained once we scored and we were the team looking most likely to win it. Of course it would be nice to qualified Europe again but tbh we simply don’t have the depth of squad to cope with that and the PL ...........,,yet !

Yes it was a chance he would normally have buried. Big empty space to shoot in. Big shame. I think our performance deserved it.
Yes we could have easily lost but we held out and put pressure on them. They were poor defending.

It is OK for Gomez to look good coming forward and passing but if he can't be a centre back, what's the point?

Hardly played any football recently and that doesn’t help.

It was a something very special. These are the current Champions league and world club winners as well as runaway premier league winners. Whilst we went there with a greatly depleted squad for all sorts of reasons. It doesn't come much harder than that.

Fantastic games, and a brilliant report. Especially this bit, that sums it up perfectly from my point of view also.

"I could say I was proud again; I was. I could say they’d given us everything again; they did. All I can say now is that this was yet another very special performance and another very special result from a very special group of players working for a very special manager."

Great report CT.

The icing on the cake at the end of the season would be for Popey to get the 'Golden Glove'. Problem is, I don't think he will.

I can't see us not conceeding in our remaining three games, especially against Wolves, whilst Ederson at Man City could probably sit on the bench and not concede. They have three relegation candidates to play. (Bournmouth, Watford, Norwich.) Two of them at home.

I think every Clarets fan will have to cross their fingers, but I doubt even that will be enough.
