Re: 2025/26: Burnley v Derby County – Cup Ticket Information
I did the same and haven't received my paper ticket either. I have just rang the ticket office and been advised that paper tickets were never an option for this game, despite the website offering that choice and charging £1.50 for the privilege. I have now been sent a digital ticket and promised a ...

Re: ARTICLE: Lazio are at the Turf
I had the same problem, so had to use a friend's Clarets number to purchase one of the tickets. I have emailed the club suggesting that if they make promises in promotional material, they should ensure their IT systems can fulfil them. I don't hold out much hope for a response. To my surprise, and ...

To the tune of "Eton Rifles" by The Jam:
"Hello, hurray, there's no way past
Egan-Riley Egan-Riley"
Or
Hello, hooray, he'll defend all day,
CJ Egan-Riley, Egan-Riley

Re: “SPOT ON” - Tonight’s new half-time ‘entertainment’
To compound the embarrassment, the announcer said to the 'winner' that he had some 'good news and bad news'. The good news was that he had almost won the money but the bad news was that he hadn't, or words to that effect! His announcements get more and more ridiculous by the week and make the club a...

Re: Ayresome Park, Middlesbrough - Old Ground Remembered (vii)
I lived in Middlesbrough for a few years in the early 80's and attended both games in the 1982-83 season, the 4-1 win in the league and the draw in the League Cup, which sent us through on aggregate. I was in the Holgate End with my Middlesbrough supporting mate, so had to bite my tongue during both...

Re: Dara O Shea
Considering Kompany's preference for ball playing defenders, I felt it was an odd decision (one of many made by Kompany) to buy O'Shea, who one wouldn't automatically consider as that type of defender and he consequently struggled initially. However, he is a proper defender and, with Esteve, was imm...

I remember the coach I travelled down on from Rossendale was attacked by Wolves fans on Wembley Way. They tried to board the coach through the emergency exit door at the back.

Re: McNeil booing
Appalling from those who attended. Can't call them fans tonight. Not long ago, he was 'one of our own'. Disgrace. Not all those who attended last night were booing. In fact, the majority probably weren't. I still cannot work out why he was subject to this. If it was because he had a relatively poor...

My first pick in goal would be the Scottish keeper, Les Fridge. He was often serenaded off the pitch to a resounding chorus of 'Freezer jolly good fellow'

Re: British Super League
The problem with this sort of idea is that it becomes the thin end of the wedge in terms of a fully developed British or UK football league. This could have implications for our national teams, as FIFA has always been keen on us having a British national team, rather than the current three.

Especially Leicester fans, who seemed to be unaware we had been champions of England more often than them
