The issue we have throughout the team (not just midfield) isnt defence splitting passes but that in general we dont pass it enough with pace and purpose meaning players have to wait for the ball or break their run. Neither of them played midfield splitting passes 2 years ago either. It's not their role and never has been and it's the wrong metric of thir effectiveness. Not seeing this koleosho better on left business. Doesn't matter which side he's on when he struggles to make a 3 yard pass. Anthony doesn't always produce end product but it's a much higher percentage and he gives the ball away far less.
