I agree. I think Kompany was WAY in over his head. Parker's experience should be worth a few points (provided we don't can him by Christmas time).dandeclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jul 16, 2025 3:37 pmKompany's team also had a naive coaching team stood on the sidelines..... we have a different coaching and leadership team this time.

Talk about glass half empty! We’re in the second week in July and we’ve made 9/10 signings including last seasons loanee signings. There’s still over 7 weeks of the transfer window left, 5 weeks until the start of the season. We’ve have a brilliant window so far with plenty of scope for more ins an...

at this point, probably easier just to list the handful of players that haven't signed with us...
I've liked the signings but we can only play 11 and will need depth: it looks like we are doing the shotgun approach. hoping that a couple of people will star, and then be sold for a huge profit.

I think that Humphreys might slot into the LCB if Esteve leaves. Pires was ok but I think he would be exposed defensively in the PL.

I could see wrexham fans feeling that the essence of their club has changed since they were bought by the movie stars. I don’t think burnley will ever need to worry about that: i found the fans and town very genuine and can’t see it being spoiled .

The NFL is about parity, and its amazing the lengths they go to to ensure that (hard salary cap, draft picks, easier schedules for teams). . Even the worst run organizations can still make a playoff appearance.
