Re: England v Senegal
This is incorrect. If an accidental handball immediately leads to a teammate scoring a goal the goal counts. It is only disallowed if the handball is intentional, or if the goalscorer scores with their hand, or handballs (accidentally or deliberately) immediately before scoring. I thought it was ju...

I thought it was a blatant handball by any rule. He's intentionally handballed it, I don't understand the argument. Sorry think I misunderstood you there! I thought it was a blatant handball by any rule. He's intentionally handballed it, I don't understand the argument. No, not when it results in a goal. It’s when it’s a team defending that it’s not handball in the box if it’s accidental/unavoidable. That was their justification for why the Koscielny...

The madness of it all is that we would have never needed the new chuffing law in the first place if we’d have had a decent ref that day against Arsenal! If he’d have disallowed that goal, no one would have batted an eyelid and it would have been forgotten about by Monday.

Didn’t see the Wales game, although sounded like a belter. Clearly this wasn’t a deliberate handball so I’ve got no idea what the ref was thinking, and she shouldn’t have been sent to the monitor by the VAR. The new law that was brought in as a result of the Koscielny debacle against us says- It is...

Read The Ministry of Time- Kaliane Bradley over Christmas and really enjoyed it.
I’m quite into science-fiction but don’t be put off if you’re not- it’s not too heavy on the sci-fi, very readable and interesting historically-wise.
It reminded me a bit of the tv show Ghosts if anyone’s a fan of that.

Thought the Whittaker/Chibnall series were fairly dumbed down, the writing was so poor- far too much exposition, not enough show don’t tell.

I’ve quite enjoyed this series- the writing is a whole lot better than the Whittaker years. I’ll be quite glad if Disney do pull out because I think its main problem has been the shortened episode and series length. What I can never get with this argument is that even if you gave the attacker half a yard extra (which as an ex defender I don’t agree with anyway!) they would still need to draw a line somewhere so they would be in the same position of it being a millimetre within half a yard or not. Soft as all hell but put both hands on a player’s back in Europe and 9 times out of 10 it’ll be given as a foul.
No sympathy anyway, still not over then the pen given for tark’s ‘push’ on Ramsey, that was even less of a foul!

The whole Maatsen thing was plain weird as well. He wasn’t their player, his loan had finished and it was entirely up to Chelsea who they loaned him to next.
Why that meant they were so angry at us and him was hard to fathom!

I thought the new law was that you couldn’t score with a handball or directly set it up with a handball ie the touch before the shot on goal, whether it was intentional or not. So being that Anthony passed it after the handball then the shot was taken I think the law was applied correctly. I agree w...
