This is incorrect. If an accidental handball immediately leads to a teammate scoring a goal the goal counts. It is only disallowed if the handball is intentional, or if the goalscorer scores with their hand, or handballs (accidentally or deliberately) immediately before scoring. I thought it was ju...

I thought it was a blatant handball by any rule. He's intentionally handballed it, I don't understand the argument. No, not when it results in a goal. It’s when it’s a team defending that it’s not handball in the box if it’s accidental/unavoidable. That was their justification for why the Koscielny...

The madness of it all is that we would have never needed the new chuffing law in the first place if we’d have had a decent ref that day against Arsenal! If he’d have disallowed that goal, no one would have batted an eyelid and it would have been forgotten about by Monday.

Didn’t see the Wales game, although sounded like a belter. Clearly this wasn’t a deliberate handball so I’ve got no idea what the ref was thinking, and she shouldn’t have been sent to the monitor by the VAR. Read The Ministry of Time- Kaliane Bradley over Christmas and really enjoyed it.
I’m quite into science-fiction but don’t be put off if you’re not- it’s not too heavy on the sci-fi, very readable and interesting historically-wise.
It reminded me a bit of the tv show Ghosts if anyone’s a fan of that.

What I can never get with this argument is that even if you gave the attacker half a yard extra (which as an ex defender I don’t agree with anyway!) they would still need to draw a line somewhere so they would be in the same position of it being a millimetre within half a yard or not. Soft as all hell but put both hands on a player’s back in Europe and 9 times out of 10 it’ll be given as a foul.

So being that Anthony passed it after the handball then the shot was taken I think the law was applied correctly. I agree w...
