I'd rather be a sparrow than a snail
Yes, I would
If I could
I surely would

I'd rather be a hammer than a nail
Yes, I would
If I only could
I surely would

Away, I'd rather sail away
Like a swan that's here and gone
A man gets tied up to the ground
He gives the world its saddest sound
Its saddest sound

I'd rather be a forest than a street
Yes, I would
If I could
I surely would

I'd rather feel the earth beneath my feet
Yes, I would
If I only could
I surely would

Yeah, there is always something out to get you.

In a human context - a roadworker. being that guy stood in the road holding a Stop/Go sign, working long days on a motorway, miles from anywhere.

I've not watched all the episodes of that show, but there is a point when Paul Whitehouse catches a fish, admires it and puts it back; it aggressively wriggles away and darts off upstream.

Paul looked at Bob and said, "he swam away in a hurry, didn't he!" Bob replies in a deadpan delivery, "I think you might've made him late for an appointment."

I nearly spat my brew out at the line.

That statement needs a bit of work.

Do some investigation and discover the error in that sentence.

Just read his autobiography and he comes across as a genuinely sound bloke. Very down to earth.

Random fact he has a cat called Gudmonson.

There are probably 3 sides to that story, which isn’t unusual. I’d imagine the actual facts and truth will come out over time.

Can you define “woke” for me please? (NB - I’m looking for a definition, not examples)

Google gives me this definition - “alert to and concerned about social injustice and discrimination” - but I presume you must have a different one.

My question is open to anyone who wants to have a go at answering it, btw.

I wouldn't like to be one of those females with the puffy lips and a tan in January, who plays with her phone and you wonder how she does it with false nails like that. She goes home to watch Love Island and Facebooks her 'friends' about it, then goes to bed dreaming about being Coleen Rooney.
