So if Bournemouth get three past us next week will it be official then that we really are just s poor poor side with a manager who sadly looks so far out his depth at this level at this stage of his career
It’ll be because Bournemouth have 11 letters in their name, and we only have 7.

May well have been, but he’s also made some big saves to keep the score to just the 3.

Yes he’s young and I’ve no doubt he will be a good keeper at this level, but VK isn’t helping him
No doubt about it that VK isn't helping him or many others.
Some strange goings on at the moment. Don't recall any big saves, a couple he should of saved

The foes list has really had a boost on here today. Can’t be doing reading some of the bed wetting posts. There are clues - e.g. people still slating Trafford when he has saved 7 shots on target.

Everything about that was awful. Defending(just didn’t bother), creativity(practically nothing), finishing (open goal), game plan(what was it?)

Absolutely f’ing dire!

Some really silly comments on here.
£90million euros net spent! Plenty of teams we are playing could spend that on one player.

You can try and be positive all you want. But in 7 games this season (and albeit against some excellent sides), we haven't even looked like getting close to a point. We can't rely on only getting points against 6 or 7 sides. We are along way away from things clicking

Although I still think we will pick up 7 points in our next 5 games, 11 from 14 is really worrying

It’s not about the money, it’s about the nature of our defeats. We are very easy to beat and we’re finding it hard to score goals.

We can’t beat the press and then we don’t press the opposition when they play out from the back . We are far to easy to play against.

I agree. The narrative has some people so wrapped up in it that the good things he does are just dismissed. I think he needs taking out of the firing line though and Muric given a run. He's got mistakes in him. Just not into this incessant blame game aimed at him. He has a woeful defence in front of him.

We are weak in the tackle all over the park, the only player who seems capable of winning headers with any conviction in both boxes is Foster (so many times our defenders barely clear the box when defending crosses).

We don't have a Rodri clone so when we turn the ball over we are so vulnerable to the counter attack.

We commit bodies forward but our retention of the ball is so poor in attacking situations, this is therefore where we are most at risk.

There is enough talent but the basics aren't being done correctly, often enough, it's so obvious that other teams know exactly how to deal with us and more importantly hurt us.

I have said Al- Dakhil should partner Beyer but I am changing my mind very quickly, we have to look at getting Ekdal and Beyer together and drilling the back four to work as a unit without the ball rather than placing the emphasis on what they do with it.

Build a base and then use the attacking talent to try to pick up points, twenty three goals conceded in nine games won't see us picking anything up.

I'm still confident we can stay up but the process has to change as well as avoiding defeat next Saturday.

Is VK capable of turning this around
He starts the season from a weak position with poor recruitment in the summer - we ended up with quantity over quality
His team selection varies every game - even taking into account injuries
His tactics (today being a classic example) just don't fit with our strengths, never mind the opposition
Our only hope is that there are three other teams looking as weak as us
Bournemouth away will not decide the final outcome but it will go a long way to offer any glimpse of hope
And not just to the supporters but also to the players themselves
And maybe even the Directors

Trafford is not the problem. He made some good saves (10 shots on target) First goal he could have perhaps done better but not the 2nd and third. The problem was sloppiness and bad decisions. For the next game I’d like to see Cork, Rodriguez, and Brownhill starting to add more experience. Shoot when you get a chance instead of tippy tapping around in the penalty area. Learn how to do set pieces! Sloppy risky passes - stop!

What’s perhaps most disappointing today is that Kompany had 2 weeks to review what’s gone well and what hasn’t etc. then decides to play that 11. It’s so naive.

I just feel VK needs to re-think his plans, he needs to find a settled starting 11 ish, he needs to find a system of play that suites the players and not keep persisting with trying to get the players playing how he would like which they`re obviously not comfortable doing at this time, your not Pep G and we`re not Man City smell the coffee Vinny and do the right thing before it becomes too late. Two things are wrong (but they're big things!)
1. We simply aren't good enough defensively, particularly at CB, no matter who's available or who we pick.
2. We have a large number of excellent Championship players who can absolutely boss any opposition in that division, BUT they can't make the (admittedly very large) step up to the PL Cullen, Brownhill, Al Dakil and Roberts being the first 4 who come to mind, but they're by no means the only ones.
We'll go down for sure and it's how we plan and regroup from that which is the most crucial thing going forward.

Just returned to the hotel.

I said yesterday I’d not heard any booing on games - strike that.

So apart from being dreadful in defence and unable to score, what’s the problem?

Nothing wrong with the away fans atmosphere, just the team who royally ****** it up.

So you think Kompany will keep us up do you? With the way that it’s going
I certainly don’t so he needs to change something or be changed himself.

I say again, we’d have been better off spending that money on the loanees from last season. I simply can’t understand why we bought so many similar players . If it is to showcase them and make money it isn’t working while, for example, Zaroury’s value (which was looking like £40m last season) diminishes with every game he doesn’t play.

At the moment, VK has no clue what his best side is and looks like he’s struggling for a plan B having realised his players aren’t good enough for plan A. For me, he still has plenty of credit left in the bank, but he needs to work out who his best players are, play them in their best positions and make some more pragmatic signings in January.

Martin Keown just said we look like a youth team trying to carry out the Managers instructions. Trafford, he said should look at times to play the ball long, it’s not working from the back.

26 or so, wasn't he?
Experience > Age

Wazza had played 5 years of senior football by age 21

Jude Bellingham looking the same after getting mens footy since 16.

Even if you're right, then the question is... Why is he starting?
