I think he did. If they got on as player and Manager then Jacko needs to sell the idea to Pace that Moyes would be ideal with his experience, of course Moyes may prefer to have a break for a while.

I thought he was a dreadful manager if I'm honest. The Newcastle game had been coming, he completely overthought it and ended up worrying way to much about their strengths not ours. That led to players out of position and a feeble passive performance.

Yep. I'm pretty sure he put Collins at right back and Roberts right wing for the last game against Newcastle. Positions neither had played all season..Just because he was scared of St Maximin. After he changed it we started to batter them but it was too late.

I don't think Jackson did that well; there was a new manager bounce, but that's it.

That's a bit harsh, he managed eight games (Won 3, Drew 2, Lost 3), he has a striker in the penultimate game that misses an absolute sitter at Villa Park which costs him another win and a centre half that has a brain fart to gift Newcastle a penalty in the final game. Let's not forget the farcical penalty at Spurs where it took them about a week to find a 'handball' that we'd have never got at the other end.

Do I think he's the answer? No but he did a decent job under very trying circumstances.

I think if Leeds are in the market for a manager in the coming days then I see Moyes going to Elland Road and Cooper coming to us.

Why would Leeds part with Farke, they were in a real mess when he took over and he’s turned them around. Had it not been for his team not firing on the day they’d have probably been promoted. I think they’d be foolish to part company with him at this stage.

He definitely did, he was the one who put a massive pin in our bubble after about two minutes in the 0-3 reverse vs PNE in 2000, a game that was sold out over a week in advance (attendance 22,300). Pay on the day and capacity allowing there would have been 30,000+ on that day.

A really good side that Moyes had built there.

Depends what their board want, fancy football played in the modern progressive way or a guy who will almost definitely keep them up?

Moyes sets his teams up in the best way to win games, not always pretty but highly successful for him, Leicester should have him at number one, two and three on their shortlist.

Haven't read all of this but got a feeling the manager is going to be one or both of these things -

• Someone with a profile

• Someone a bit left-field/a coup

So Lampard and Solskjaer spring to mind. So does Van Nistelrooy who'd also tick the second box.

The St Pauli manager, Fabian Hürzeler, is only thirty-one and has them promoted to the Bundesliga as champions. Highly regarded, smart tactician, but it may be a move too soon and, you'd imagine, he'd now want to manage in the Bundesliga. But I wouldn't be shocked at all if the appointment is someone like that.

All of these names continue the Kompany vibe in one way or another which is what I think, just a gut feeling, will be the aim.

Well, there you go. It's funny how a manager can disappear into obscurity; I presumed that was why his name wasn't being mentioned—only a few years ago, he would've been in the mix.

Might be wrong, but I don't see Farke being a tough enough character to take the challenging decisions that are needed in the next few weeks to trim the squad, stabilise the club, and instill some well needed discipline.
I do like his style of football, but one has to also recognise that his record at Leeds - once it got tough - is terrible.
Just two wins in the final 9 games (since April 1st) including the play off semi final win against Norwich.
5 pts out of 18 in the last 6 League games.
