Kane frustrates the hell out of me for England.

All time record goalscorer my arse. He’s not fit to lace Charlton’s, Lineker’s or Rooney’s boots.
Rooney’s tournament record was pretty awful. Certainly worse than Kane’s.

I’m not sure a lot of this is even GS doing. He’s can’t be telling HK, drop deep, far post crosses to BS.

Foden, Saka and Kane off.
Palmer, Gordon and Watkins on.
You must be kidding. This is all down to aSouthgate’s team selection and system

we are playing this like a pre-season kick about, the urgency has to come from the players

Yes, it was fairly poor, although he was electric in his first tournament until he got injured (Euro 2004?)

He was still a miles better player than Kane ever will be, though.

GS needs to really think here at HT.

45 mins and basically you’re sacked if it remains like this. You’re never gonna get another job at this level.

Roll the nice and gamble, we’re heading out anyway.

100% this is down to Southgate just like every other England disappointment in the last several years. All his doing. Thank goodness he'll be gone after this but what another wasted tournament.

Embarrassing.

I’d be pulling Walker and putting Trippier on that side, and hope that Luke Shaw is fit enough to last a half. That along with Palmer and Gordon on for Foden and Saka. We’re looking really impotent

I wonder what the tactical genius Southgate will do at half time. Will he ditch this ridiculous 2 holding midfielders and go for it, or just make a like for like sub?

Hmm… I wonder

Southgate will think we've been well on top , should lbe 3-1 up and the goals will come. So may not change anything.

If we were to manage to get through the ridiculous booking of Bellingham, he played the ball, could cost dear if he were to get another.
At major tournaments all bookings should be reviewable post-match.

After 99 games we’re still lacking basic organisation

Excelling himself, is Gareth.
Few managers on his pay grade could be given the talent he has to pick from and produce this garbage.
Hapless, hopeless, & totally out of his depth.
Something he's consistently shown throughout his managers life.
I blame Fat Sam for this.
He scared the crap out of the Suits and they've just went for someone who wouldnt spoil the conversation on their dinner circuits.

That's the most disorganised sack of sh!t I've ever seen from an England team. Like someone said earlier, like watching Burnley last year you know it's going to be crap but nothing seems to change.
Time for Gareth to use all the experience he used in relegating Middlesborough now to change everything round.

Countries like Austria, Switzerland play like teams that are working together and organised.

England are a collection of individuals with no real structure.

Is anyone really surprised. The England team dont care and its showing, Not once has Southgate barked at them. None of the Slovakia team get into the England team, and we were still favorites to win the tournament, but they are outplaying us.

As I’ve been saying since before the tournament, and during it, the issues lie in England's build up. Rice isn’t good enough to progress the ball quickly through the lines, Walker is absolutely terrible at it and Trippier, well I don’t need to say much. You’ve got Kane; Foden and Bellingham who all want the ball between the lines but no one to get it to them quickly. Mainoo in the team doesn’t change this as he can’t do it either. Wharton and Trent are right there, as is Gomez who played half the season at left back for Liverpool.
