Thought they might have kept him till summer. Problem with Dyche's style of football is if its not getting results its god awful to watch. For a club of Evertons size going full 90 minutes without creating a chance or having a shot isn't really acceptable.

Had a pretty poor mismatched bunch of players to work with and very poor investment after selling their best . SD was surely their best bet for prem survival ? again … . To think the squad Lampard had only just survived compared to the mess they have atm. They’ve a fair chance of survival on paper as SD has recently negotiated most of the “ giants “ and the sheer poorness is Soton and Leicester .

Seeing Dyche’s last presser it looks like they’d already told him he was leaving ,as ever SD was pragmatic and respectful. These delusional clubs really need a wake up call .

The news though expected made me feel quite sick, particularly in the way its been handled. Fortunately Sean is one of the strongest managers mentally, and he will dust himself down and come back.For me he is very much "one of our own" whatever you think of his style of football. He has been very loyal to Woan, Stone, Howard and Mercer , but I dont know what the first two contributed and how that reflected on how the team performed, or what the Everton players thought of them. Be interesting as always to see what comments come out of the Everton players.

I suspect he will take time out until Summer, but don't be surprised if Leicester go down, its too much for Nistelroy to take, and Sean steps in to add stability and focus on getting them back to the PL, rebuilding his career . He now lives in nearby Nottingham

Must admit i thought when he went to Everton he should have freshened his backroom staff up. Woan and Stone came across as nothing more than a pair of nodding dogs. Nobody at Burnley seemed to have a good word to say about Stone, in particular.

Faintly amusing to see Everton catch almost as much grief on here for potting one of our ex-managers as Bolton did in 2010 for poaching our then-current one.

As good as he was for us and whatever good he may have done at Everton when he first arrived it's been heading south at a rate of knots for a while now and from the outside looking in if you were to pick the one man whose had the most impact on them stopping up the last couple of seasons it'd probably be Pickford, not Dyche.
