It's not about the Premier League title, that was a one off for Blackburn. It's about their Premier League status being so callously thrown away.

Indeed. They have a benefactor right now as we know. Their issue is that they aren't the funding multi million transfers type benefactor that buys them out of the league with someone elses money. That is what they think is wrong with Venkys really. They cite lack of investment whilst attracting pathetic attendances. Whoppers.
Like I said before...until they can stand on their own two feet/cut their cloth (without Venkys keeping them afloat) and then surpass us I won't take them seriously and I doubt many of us will. We've got to the prem under our own steam the first time..and the second time realistically and then been wise to reinvest the money and rebuild everytime we have fallen. I agree with all this apart from the 'pathetic attendances'. I remember we had some low attendances in our 2013-14 promotion.

I agree but they have zero sense of economic reality it seems. They question why the Wharton money wasn't reinvested. It was used to plug the gap in finances/pay the wages of their current squad. A squad that realistically is beyond their means.
They are already being bankrolled. Just not to the distorted extent they wish...and therein lies the problem with their attitude. It's ingrained in them.

Four consortiums have approached Venky's within the last 18 months. Two American, one British, One Middle Eastern. All have been turned down. This is from somebody close to the club.

Aaron Paul on the EFL 72 Podcast revealed last night that he knows somebody who approached Venky's two months ago offering to buy Rovers. He was flatly refused. Not for sale. That's five different parties that are interested in buying Blackburn. All of them can afford to cover the losses.

I'm not sure where this idea is coming from on here that it's Venky's or bust for them. As if they are the only owners in world football that can do what they are doing losses wise and without them Blackburn are finished. This is nonsense. There are very wealthy people out there that want to own Blackburn Rovers. The 10th most successful club in England and you think it Venky's or bust? Give over. When new owners do come in over there and they are back in the Premier League I hope some of you think back to this post.

I think we need to remind ourselves what the aim of the game is, Fulledge. Is it to see our club make a profit in the Accounts or is it to see our club win? NOBODY, not one of us, goes around saying "Ah, but your club is in debt, we're debt free, we made a profit last year, didn't you know?".

Let's be real now, Fulledge. Of course fans want their clubs to be in a good state financially, but what matters to all of us is the club winning on the pitch. Why aren't owners in general trying to win? I don't mean individual football matches, but showing ambition to really achieve things. If owners ran a club as a business hoping to make a profit BUT at the same TRIED to win and kick the club on, then there wouldn't be an issue.

What everybody is seeing at Blackburn is owners that don't give a **** and aren't even trying to win i.e not trying to get promoted. That's the problem there. Who on here would accept Pace or whoever else having the Clarets sit in mid table in this Division for over a decade without ever trying to get back into the Prem? Would that scenario become more acceptable if Burnley were making a profit every year and were deemed a "well run club"? I don't think it would be acceptable. We all want to see intent from the top of the Club, to at least TRY, otherwise what is the point.
