I assumed it was an attempt at some humour, but I am a stickler for accuracy. Also, it reminded me of the first episode of The Black Adder in which Edmund chops the head off Richard III.

Is the town full of st George flags like it is when it's Paddy's day?
Surely the town being full of St. George's flags even on St Patrick's day shows how popular the flag is.
