Gunners away!

Post by oswyclaret » Tue Mar 27, 2018 9:16 am

Does anybody know if the Arsenal away game will be televised on 5 may, or is it too early to ascertain!

If it’s true that it’s Arsene Wengers last home game for them then I think it will be.

If Arsenal get through to the Semi Finals of the Europa League the 2nd leg matches are to be played on Thursday 3rd May, which would mean that our scheduled game with them 2 days later would be moved to either the Sunday or Monday.

Don't think it would force a move to Monday but would certainly be shunted to Sunday.

I'd love it if we beat them with an injury-time goal.

Less chance if it's Wenger's last home game though, the officials won't want to ruin the script.

The script is that they lose pathetically and he gets booed out of the ground.

That's the way it's been heading with the Arsenal fans over the last few years.

A Burnley win thanks to a run of diabolical decisions would make me very happy. How about this...

We counter attack in the last minute and Jack Cork plays the ball over the top to a clearly offside Ashley Barnes, he runs down the wing and fires a cross into Chris Wood who gets to the ball just ahead of Mustafi but heads the ball wide and the referee incorrectly gives a corner. We swing the corner in and Tarky wins the first header, the ball drops and hits Barnes on the hand before he swings a boot at it, the ball hits the bar and comes back down to JBG who's stood in an offside position and knocks the ball over the line with his hand. The away end goes wild. Burnley win 1 nil and climb to 6th in the table. Happy days.

i would add that arsenal get one more chance... they heave a ball into the box and every single burnley playee shoves the closest arsenal player to the ground. no call given.

I'd rather Pope saves a dodgy 96th minute penalty, then Barnes bangs in the winner in the 99th minute despite him being offside, already sent off and he handballed it.

With Sam Vokes standing in an offside position in front of the keeper but the referee ignores that as he says that Vokes wasn't impeding.
