People can go when they want. I like to stay to the end but that’s my preference. People arriving late bother me more or coming in and out or leaving for a half time pie after 30 mins played. It’s up to them though ultimately. People have a whole host of reasons to leave early but if they support the team while there who cares.

I appreciate it's the choice of the individual, but football does seem to be a bit at odds with other events on this issue.
Cinema, theatre, concert, people don't tend to leave early to avoid the congestion.

It’s not often you get 20,000 people at the cinema.

Other than big concerts, none of those have 20,000 leaving together

Just like every other time this comes up, to those who whinge about people leaving early it has got absolutely nothing to do with you when another person chooses to leave. They’ve paid their money and can come and go as they please. It doesn’t even bother me if they want to nip to the toilet part way through the game either as it’s hardly an inconvenience if they want to squeeze past or I have to partly stand for 2 seconds. I think people just like to moan.

Talking of the bogs

Look, you old guys in the JHU (you know who you are), can you avoid queue blocking the urinals by spending the 10 minutes to go by maybe doing it towards the end of the half?

Yours those of us with fully working bladders who really, really need to go ;)

You’d think you’d climbed over someones fence and were walking across their lawn with some folk, livid that someone dares to go to the toilet. 😂 I’m glad there are grumpy miserable folk out there, makes me realise I must have it better than I appreciate

Some people do leave early for whatever reason and its their choice. What I would like to see is the fans staying to applaud the team at the end of the match. Usually by the time the players applaud the fans at the end of the game, the ground is about two thirds empty. Again personal choice.

Leaving early (something I never do) is up to the individual, but what I would say is that with this current Burnley team you leave early at your peril because it really is never over until it's over as has been proved time and again, not just last night. Just as an aside I might feel that if someone comes to a football match, pays good money and sits in the freezing cold for 88 minutes, what difference does another couple of minutes make?? And if you don't want to be stuck in the traffic which inevitably accompanies attending such a big, sporting event because it bothers you that much and you're so desperate to be at home, then maybe it's safer to stay indoors all along. (Maybe?)

I can’t quite make out who is whooshing who here…. KSR is clearly in parody, but IanMcL either caught it and joined in the fun, or he deserves a whoosh. Of course he can now claim the former. It matters.

Having considered the various arguments I think the simplest thing to do is lock everyone in until the match has finished.

Then allow them out after all the players have been applauded off, via the turnstiles, with juniors and accompanying parents first… then by points so that everyone with 6000+ points get priority to get home early. You have to reward loyalty.

People can leave when they want, yes even after 10 minutes if they wish. Wind your neck in!

I will have a moan however, CFS - it’s known that the facilities are crap and the single entrance/exit is very poor and arguable dangerous. This means when leaving (after the final whistle  ) there is queues from all directions to get down the one exit, including the additional middle section in between a section of home fans and away fans. Really poor it is!

Hopefully something gets sorted at the end of the season. One bar and one exit isn’t good enough and dangerous should there be a fire where the smoking area is !

I can't believe people actually get wound up by others leaving when they want to leave. Just think about that.

I left with my lad at 91 last night. He was cold and too noisy for him.
He had endured 90minute of some reprobate behind him **** ing and **** ing. Family stand my arse... glad our season tickets are back in the Longside next year.

I get that some people have good reasons for leaving early but some people are just a bit weird about it. I used to know a lad who always left early so he could get a pint at the Prinny Royal before it got too busy. In the space of a few weeks he missed Arfield scoring the winner against Everton and the Barnes winner against Palace, probably the best moments of that season.

Does anyone know the score from last night, by the way?

The BMW ran out of charge just as we were heading into stoppage time but I missed the last few minutes of Radio Lancashire’s coverage.

I had to leave very early because, as I’ve already stated, I’m a solicitor and I had an important meeting this morning. I knew I only had a few miles left in the BMW so I needed to get to the next charging pod before anyone else. The good news is I was fully charged by 11 and I made it back here in Spain in time for my meeting.

It affects me in no way whatsoever and if people leave early that is their choice. I just find it amusing if anything and a little bit odd when people leave at 80 minutes no matter what. I myself leave early..usually judge it when there is about a minute left and the game looks dead. Simply to avoid the charge down the stairs from the JHU. I've not missed any goals anyway.

The people in front of me regularly leave at 80/85 minutes. They must have missed a hell of a lot this season. They even left at 80 minutes on the Ipswich game when it was 1-1 and the possibility of another 30 minutes.

I also think it essential people stay until the very end, the nerve of the people who think they can do what they want with their leisure time. Lol.

I stayed until the end yesterday, but might not next time. I'll get over it if I miss some drama or a goal. I must not care as much as the Puritans but am fine with that.

Robert Plant, who was my neighbour in Tal y Bont, said the Keith Moon thing was an urban myth and it was a roadie who coined the name.

(The locals in the pub all called him Bob and had no idea who he was).

I can understand people who live far away leaving early, what i can't understand is people leaving 10 minutes before half time to get a pint in, we are playing the best football in my lifetime, and probably since the 60s heyday, and you'd rather miss it to drink an overprice, crap pint in a plastic glass ?

Very good support today. Even at half time the majority of supporters stayed and clapped the players off and deservedly so. Not many rushing to get an hot dog. Full time was something else. Never known as many fans stay behind and celebrate with the players. I'm loving the cricket fielders doing the new chant with the players when they head to the tunnel.

Huddersfield fans were leaving today after our third goal.
I’m not sure if they were, you could be right but I thought they were going downstairs just before half time for a tonic water or two.

I had to go to work at 6pm . Is this ok ?
Unfortunately not no... Likewise many years ago I had to leave at 85 to beat the traffic to get to my job back then in Manchester

Just be prepared as the eyeball recognition cameras clock you on the way out of the ground and for each minute of each game that you miss, you get docked the equivalent off your loyalty points
